Helpful Hints for ordering MCCNO utility service
Placing an online order - Order early to take advantage of online ordering and the advance rate pricing. Online ordering is available until your event's first move in day.
Online Rate - Initial orders placed online will receive discounted pricing until your event's first move in day.
Standard Rate - The standard rate pricing is for all orders sent via fax, email postal or overnight mail until the first event move in day.
On site Rate - Orders and/or revision placed or received once your event begins move in. These rates reflect an additional 25% of the standard rate prices.

Installation of services - A booth diagram with location of service and booth orientation is required for unsupervised installation. We will not install services that cross aisles without the Association's prior approval. You may upload a booth plan during the check-out process. Consolidate drawings into one drawing or file and upload to the website. Convention Center personnel are authorized to cut floor coverings when essential for installation of service unless otherwise directed.
The use of adhesive tape on convention center floor surfaces must be approved by the Morial Convention Center. Please contact Exhibit Services at (504-582-3036) for assistance.
Our electrical service is a single outlet typically installed in your booth from the floor port. These floor ports run every 30 feet throughout the convention center. If you require extension cords or multiple connection boxes with our 120 volt service, those items may be added to your order. Other optional services are 24 hour and/or overhead service (overhead service is when electrical needs to be installed in your booth from an overhead truss i.e. overhead lighted sign, etc.).
Standard wall and other permanent building utility outlets or sockets are not part of the booth space and may not be used by exhibitors.
The following are not permitted for use in the convention center: open clip sockets, latex or lamp wire, twin sockets, ungrounded lighting fixtures, multiple attachment plugs that don't have adequate circuit protection devices.
The following is permitted: Once our electrical team installs the initial 120 volt service in your booth you may run that service, along with extension cords to various locations in your booth. If you are providing your own cords, they must be minimum 12/3 ground.
All devices for which the MCCNO provides Internet or Networking connectivity are required to obtain a MCCNO assigned IP address. We will provide a standard 10/100 Mbps switched Ethernet based connection with RJ-45 connection to your specified location.
Our internet service is provided as an overhead connection dropped from overhead into your booth. Exception: The internet cable is pulled from a floor port if your booth is located in the lowered ceiling of the convention center in Halls E, F, G and J.
Our IP addresses are static and must be configured. The customer must have administrative rights to configure computers on site. You can request your configuration information in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include your event, booth number and company name.
What about DHCP? We do offer DHCP service, however, it is only available with one of our dedicated internet packages. DHCP offers the advantage of automatic configuration.
Ordering an internet connection with more than (1) IP address? When you place an order that includes additional IP addresses, you will need a hub and cat5cables to network your devices. These additional items are available for selection when ordering an additional IP or any of our multiple IP packages. If you would like us to install those cables, select the labor to install option for the number of cat5 cables you requested. We will need a location diagram with orientation to install without supervision. You may upload a booth plan during the check-out process. Consolidate drawings into one drawing or file and upload to the website. Convention Center personnel are authorized to cut floor coverings when essential for installation of service unless otherwise directed. A signature is required for delivery of your hub rental. Please notify the MCCNO Service Desk when you are available to receive. A $250.00 replacement cost will be charged if the hub is not returned.
Wireless - The use of any wireless device that interferes with the facility's wireless data frequency is prohibited. Exhibitors are allowed to bring and utilize their own wireless routers. The exhibitor must order the shared internet connection and an IP address for each device connected to the wireless router. MCCNO is NOT responsible for the configuration or operation of the wireless router. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to ensure their equipment is properly configured, operational and not interfering with other exhibitors and/or MCCNO equipment.
Internet Security: The MCCNO does not provide security, such as but not limited to firewalls, etc for any data circuits we provide. It is the customers sole responsibility to provide any and all necessary security including the latest Anti Virus protection on all devices, windows security updates, system patches and any technological cautions available/necessary to protect the MCCNO network, you and others from viruses, worms or any malicious programs and other disruptive appliances.
All plumbing services ( with the exception of the drain) are provided from the overhead truss into your booth space. Plumbing supply connections and disconnections may only be made by Convention Center personnel.
Service connectors and fittings may be supplied by the exhibitor, although we are able to supply fittings for almost all equipment.
Telephone service is installed in your booth from the floor port.
Telephone instruments - A signature is required for delivery of your telephone rental set(s). Please notify the MCCNO Service Desk when you are available to receive. The following costs will be charged if equipment is not returned: Single line sets - $78.75, Multi line sets $388.50.
